The Actuarial Science Program of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln (UNL) has set up a database to track all papers published in five actuarial journals since 1990. The tool provides readily accessible information for articles published in the five leading actuarial and risk management & insurance journals as well as rankings. Each publication listed gives the article name, the authors, and their affiliations credited in the article at the time of publication.
Interestingly, it’s created a source for the top-ranking schools to point to in many articles where they proudly proclaim their ranking. The University of Waterloo, CASS Business School in London, and York University to a list a few. It is certainly an accomplishment to rank so high!
The five publications include one leading risk and insurance journal and the four leading actuarial journals: Journal of Risk and Insurance, Insurance: Mathematics and Economics, North American Actuarial Journal, ASTIN Bulletin: The Journal of the International Actuarial Association, and the Scandinavian Actuarial Journal.
Rankings are provided for the top 20 North American and the top 50 worldwide business and non-business schools respectively according to the cumulative number of their respective faculties’ publications in these journals. These rankings are given for degree-awarding schools.
