This series will provide insights from current full-time actuaries on their experiences working in actuarial roles outside of re/insurance companies and actuarial consulting firms.
This session will feature speakers Barry Maher and Victor Wang, where they will be discussing international work projects with the World Bank actuarial team and providing insurance to smallholder farmers across East Africa respectively.
Some of the topics under discussion will be the types and locales of projects that exist for non-traditional actuaries, the kinds of clients that actuaries can support, and the impact of change that can be made at an international level.
